Many factors cause our skin to age, but there are plenty of ways to slow down the aging process with the right skincare routine.
Use gentle, fragrance free cleanser regardless of your skin type. When cleaning your face in the morning/evening make sure to use a gentle cleaner to not harm your skin. Apply cleanser with circular motions to increase blood circulation to the skin.
Avoid too much sun. The sun plays a major role in prematurely aging our skin. You can protect your skin by seeking shade, covering up with clothing, and using sunscreen.
Use a moisturizer in the morning and evening. Use a cream with hyaluronic acid (The magic of this ingredient lies in its ability to retain moisture; it’s considered to have a greater capacity to hold moisture than any other natural or synthetic polymer. In fact, one gram of hyaluronic acid is able to hold up to six liters of water). Make sure to use a different moisturizer for the night-time since night creams do have a thicker texture and are a lot more hydrating!
Use a facial serum. Serum is designed to thoroughly nourish, rejuvenate and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. A serum won’t replace your daytime or night-time moisturizer, but they will boost your anti-aging results and overall skin health when used in the morning and evening.
Eat healthy. You are what you eat, so focus as much on what you put in your body as on what you put on your skin.
Take care of your hands/rest of your skin. When it comes to anti-aging skin care most people are considering only face/neck area. Make sure to take special care of your hands/rest of the skin as well.
